Introduzione
OLIVE HILL Guesthouse, a 2011 renovated, two-storey farmhouse built in the 1890s, sits on the edge of a hillside in Eleftheres village, near Kavala in Northern Greece, known locally as Mazidia.
Situated in a 3 acres of organic land and surrounded by hundreds of years of old olive trees, it offers the relaxation and the luxury of a first-class rental property.
The views of Olive Hill are breathtaking; from one side it overlooks the Eleftheres Valley, famous for its vineries and the award winning Ammolofoi beach, and on the other side, touches the slopes of Mazidia Hill, with the 400year old olive trees and the flocks of sheep and goats.
Olive Hill Guesthouse consists of two suites. The Olive Suite is on the ground floor and the Almond Suite is on the top floor, each one with its own character and personality. They are both ideal for people who seek authentic Greek atmosphere with laidback luxury.
Olive Suite and Almond Suite, both have a full kitchen where you will be able to create all your favourite dishes, using the freshly-picked organic vegetables of our garden. You can watch your favourite movie, or curl up with a book in the living room. You will find a large selection of carefully chosen books and dvds at your disposal, in both suites.
Enjoy your evenings outside, either sitting in the patio, sipping a glass of wine, and savouring the evening breeze, under the almond tree, enjoying the magnificent views. Or, you can light up a fire in the sheltered fire pit with the atmospheric lighting and curl up in the cosy cushions.
Conveniently situated very close to Egnatia Motorway, it is excellent for exploring the nearby beaches and forests, and it enables you to visit places like the ancient Palace of Philippi and its Ancient Theatre, the Dadia Forest, the Karadere Forest, - both protected by “Natura Plan 2000" , the Vineries of Drama and many Byzantine monasteries. (Please go to "About the Area" for more info). To enjoy all these trips, we are happy to recommend you a trustworthy agency where you can rent a car to help you explore the area.
We hope to introduce you to the life of our farm by participating to the activities in the organic farm . You can pick up your own vegetables, fruits and eggs and taste the true difference in flavour. You can also participate in the Eastern Mediterranean Cooking Lessons that take place from time to time, in the farm.
Olive Hill is a short drive from the small picturesque port village of Nea Peramos where you can savour authentic local cuisine in the tavernas by the beach and enjoy your drinks in the cafés across the port.
Olive Hill Guesthouse and Organic Farm are a fifteen-minute drive from the Egnatia Exit “Agios Andreas” and approximately a 45-minute drive from Kavala’s Airport “Megas Alexandros”.
